while on tours of Switzerland. You will need to show your passport
as a proof of identity for foreign exchange transactions. All
airports,, shopping arcades and railway stations have licensed money
changers who carry out currency exchange transactions.
Credit Cards All popular credit cards such
as Diners, Euro, VISA, Mastercard and American Express card are
accepted widely in shops, airports, railway stations and other
payment centers across Switzerland.
Crime While Switzerland does not have a high
crime rate and the country is considered very safe for travelers, do
be careful about carrying money on trains or while you are leaving a
money exchange center. Any incident of theft, purse snatching or
stealing of a passport should be reported to the local police and
